ABOUT GREAT LAKES WEATHER

Formerly known as CU Weather, Great Lakes Weather is an independent, student-managed social media service that was founded in January of 2018. The main goal of this service was to inform Cedarville University's students and staff about upcoming weather conditions so they can be prepared in the midst of a busy schedule. CU Weather has covered many notable weather events in the past, including winter storms such has Harper and Petra, and the Dayton tornado outbreak of May 2019. In May of 2021, CU Weather was re-branded to Great Lakes Weather and now serves the states of Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio.

The founder and manager of Great Lakes Weather is Benjamin Richmond, graduate of Cedarville University with a bachelor's degree in Middle Childhood Education. He's had an interest in weather since his childhood and has operated Great Lakes Weather ever since the beginning.

Great Lakes Weather is available across several resources- including Instagram, Youtube, Facebook, and Rumble. While all platforms provide valuable weather information, Currently we have a combined total of over 7000 connections across our network.
